I decided to not stay on plan during the month of December. I know, I know many people do and it can be done, but I really wanted to enjoy the parties and not have to worry if there was nothing complaint to eat. I guess you could say I was lazy about it. But oh well!
I will tell you that I started feeling blah. I knew that the sugar and carbs I was eating was getting to me. I just didn’t feel well. I have found that it seems to be all or nothing for me. I can’t just have a taste of sugar and be okay. I want more and more and then I keep eating.
Now that the holidays are over, it’s time to get back into the game.
Today was Day 1 and things went well! I have done this before, I know that I can do it again!
I am not a food blogger.
I am a mom who is super busy. Right now we are in the process of selling our house and moving. (more about that later) I want to encourage other moms that yes, you can do this!
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. The table will be filled with so many amazing foods. Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and DESSERTS! All of which I can’t have, well at least the way we traditionally make them.
We will still have all of the normal foods, and of course there will be pumpkin pie. Sugar free pumpkin pie is not the same. I will be adding in foods that I will be able to enjoy. Staying on the Whole30 plan this holiday may be a little harder and it may take a little more work, but it is doable.
I put together a great list of recipe ideas. We don’t have to miss out on a great meal time.
Whole30 Gravy (you can’t have mashed potatoes without gravy)
There are many more ideas on my Pinterest board.
I hope you have a great Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for our health included!
